Unfortunately, I was not rewarded for my bravery instead I felt like I was punished. Had I known this at the beginning of freshman year, my high school experience would have been completely different. It seemed like a modern society of young college adults who loved art, studies, community, and dancing. I am extremely pleased with the progress that I have made but of course growing pains occurred along the way.
I become discourage about not being able to accomplish my goals, so I choose to not plan or set goals. I close with some remarks on future directions and suggestions for the assignment, along with sharing the writing prompts themselves, that, although shown here in the context of a 2nd-Year writing seminar, one could easily repurpose for other courses.
